What the Rate Covers
The rental rate is the base price for the unit. Here is what comes with it, what is billed on top, and what stays with you.
Included
- Side shift on every unit
- Fork positioners on select larger units
- Battery and charger on all electric units
- No damage waiver or added insurance required
Billed Separately
- Transport to and from your site
- One-time propane tank charge on LP units
- Overtime beyond included hours
Your Responsibility
- Wiring the charger to your building on electric rentals
- Damage or theft during the rental term
We do not rent clamps or other specialized attachments. Full rental terms and conditions are provided with your rental agreement.

Utah & Idaho
Flat-rate transport along the Wasatch Front, mileage pricing everywhere else in Utah. Idaho rentals ship from our Boise and Idaho Falls branches. Most units leave the yard the next business day.

Cushion & Pneumatic LP
3,000 to 15,000 lb
Cushion tires for smooth concrete, pneumatic for gravel and uneven ground. Standard masts lift 186 to 188 inches; tall cushion units reach 236 and quad masts 240 to 256.
Electric Sit-Down & Stand-Up
3,000 to 6,000 lb
Quiet, zero-emission units for indoor work. Counterbalance masts at 187 or 217 inches; narrow aisle reach trucks to 270. Battery and charger included.
Big Joe & Pallet Jacks
Up to 6,000 lb
Big Joe task support units at 192 or 210 inches for narrow aisle picking and stocking. Manual, walkie, and rider pallet jacks for dock and floor-level moves.

Most units arrive the next business day, Monday through Friday. Dispatch confirms the schedule before the truck leaves.
Forklift Rental FAQ
How much does it cost to rent a forklift?
Forklifts start at $210 a day, $525 a week, or $1,315 a month for a 3,000 lb unit. Larger capacities and electric models cost more. Transport, propane, and overtime are billed separately. See the full rate table above.
How much is it to rent a forklift for a day?
From $210 for a 3,000 lb propane unit. A daily rental covers 8 hours of use and one day is the minimum term; we do not rent by the hour or half day.
How much does it cost to rent a forklift for a month?
From $1,315 for a 3,000 lb unit, covering 160 hours of use. Weekly and monthly rates are discounted for longer terms.
Can anyone rent a forklift?
Any business with an HOJ account can rent. We set accounts up on terms, COI, or COD. No separate insurance or damage waiver is required; the renter is responsible for damage or theft.
How do I rent a forklift from HOJ?
Get an estimate with the rate finder above or call Service Dispatch. Once your account is set up, most units deliver the next business day, Monday through Friday.
Where can I rent a forklift in Boise or Idaho Falls?
Our Idaho branches handle Idaho rentals. Call them directly or submit the form on this page and we will route your request.
Can I rent a rough terrain or outdoor forklift?
Yes. Pneumatic tire units from 3,000 to 15,000 lb run on gravel, asphalt, and uneven ground. About 80 percent of the fleet is outdoor-capable.
Can I rent forklift attachments?
Every unit comes with a side shifter and some larger units have fork positioners. We do not rent clamps or other specialized attachments.
