Fast Crane Repair Across Utah

We keep a technician on call every day and dispatch immediately, with same-day response as far south as St. George and as far north as Logan. Our techs run boom trucks, not rented scissor lifts, so you skip the lift fee most competitors add to every call.

  • Common failures we fix. Cranes that lost power, travel that stops mid-run, and speed control that quit.
  • Parts on the truck. We stock the most common wear and failure components for same-visit fixes.

Inspections That KeepYour crane Compliant

OSHA and ASME require annual inspection, and a missed deadline is a real liability.

Our CICB-certified inspectors cover monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual schedules, then hand you a written report with a clear deficiency list.

Give the go-ahead on-site and we can often correct issues that day, on any brand, including equipment we did not sell.

load testing and certification

Up to 125% of rated capacity.

100+ ton cranes tested.

On-site with our own weights

You receive a report confirming the lift, hold times, and directional testing. We can book the test while you are on the phone.

Reach Out

Call or request service. Existing accounts get a service ticket and ETA on the phone.

On-Site Assessment

A tech arrives, diagnoses the fault, and quotes the full path.

Back To Lifting

We complete the work, hand you a report, and set up planned maintenance.

Planned Maintenance That Prevents Downtime

An annual service contract locks your hourly rate for the year, and you can cancel anytime with no fee.

We schedule visits around your internal safety deadlines, adjust frequency to usage hours and crane age, and keep complete records on every crane we service.

Modernization vs. Replacement

Repair or modernize when the fix is sound and cost-effective. We upgrade controls, power, wiring, VFDs, and panels across any brand, verifying every component with the engineer and OEM.

Replace when repair costs approach a new unit. Our crane engineers build a retrofit option free of charge and give you the honest call, because a new hoist beats sinking money into an obsolete one.

We stock CM, R&M, and Konecranes wear items, ship same-day on approval, and turn parts quotes in 24 to 48 hours.

WHY OUR CUSTOMERS DON'T SHOP AROUND

"In four and a half years, I haven't been disappointed enough to even think about jumping to someone else. I just don't think about going to another vendor for cranes."

- Richard Takashita

"It doesn't do me any good if I get a building done but I'm waiting on gantry cranes. With HOJ engaged upfront, when I open the doors, the space is complete."

- Jake Greenland

"Our directors talked about adding more automated cranes. HOJ came up with a pick-to-light system instead. Took weeks to install and cost a fraction of what an automation overhaul would have. They told us when not to over-buy."

- Terry Wright

FAQs

How often does an overhead crane need to be inspected?

OSHA and ASME require inspections on a set cadence: frequent inspections (daily to monthly) and periodic inspections (quarterly to annual), with annual being mandatory.

We cover monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual schedules, and we can build the full schedule around your crane's usage and duty cycle.

Who can perform a crane inspection?

Daily pre-shift checks are done by the operator, but periodic and annual inspections must be performed by a qualified inspector.

Our inspectors are CICB-certified and inspect to OSHA 1910.179 and ASME B30 standards, including cranes we did not sell or install.

How much does a crane inspection cost?

Cost depends on crane count, capacity, and site, so we quote inspections and planned maintenance over the phone and send a PDF estimate.

Our hourly rate is among the most competitive in Utah and Idaho, and an annual service contract locks your rate for the full year.

Do you service cranes you didn't install?

Yes. We inspect, repair, and modernize any brand and any crane type, including bridge, gantry, and jib cranes. We stock CM, R&M, and Konecranes parts and can source any other brand.

What's your emergency response time?

A technician is on call every day. In the Salt Lake Valley we dispatch immediately and reach most sites within a few hours. After-hours calls are answered by the on-call tech, with on-site response typically within 3 hours across our standard service area.

What should I do when a crane goes down?

Call us before attempting a fix yourself, which usually saves time and money. We diagnose the fault, quote the full repair path, and schedule the work. Our techs carry common wear parts on the truck for same-visit fixes when the schedule allows.
