OSHA COMPLIANT
CMAA MEMBER
HOJ is a crane installation company with engineering, fabrication, and installation under one roof.
Certified welders and crane engineers handle bridge crane installation, gantry cranes, jib cranes, and crane rail installation across Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, Nevada, Arizona, and Colorado.
Every new crane is load tested before its first lift.
Sized to your building, your loads, and your workflow.
Our response times per Area
Retrofit quotes take 1 to 2 weeks, with every component verified against the manufacturer and your crane's engineer.
Modernization projects typically run 4 to 8 weeks. For new installations, schedules depend on equipment lead times, so we quote real dates, not best cases.
One call today, and your cranes are documented, compliant, and off your worry list.
A site assessment and an engineered quote, verified with the manufacturer.
In-house fabrication by certified welders, coordinated around your production schedule.
Installation, load test to 125%, operator orientation, and your documentation.
You get a written report listing every deficiency and what it takes to pass.
Hand our technician a PO and many repairs happen on the spot, same visit. We work with you until the crane is compliant and back in service.
Aging crane, sound structure? We modernize controls, power, and wiring, add VFDs and radio remotes, and bring runways to OSHA compliance.
Most runways have a power bar but no ground bar; we fix that. Our crane engineers plan retrofits at no charge.
The company that installs your crane keeps it running. Planned maintenance, 24/7 emergency response, stocked parts, annual runway surveys, and your crane's drawings on file.
One call for the life of the overhead crane.
HOJ has designed, fabricated, and installed more overhead cranes in Utah than any other company.

Depends on the inspection level. Pre-shift checks can be done by your trained operator. Frequent inspections require a designated person.
Periodic inspections should be performed by a qualified crane inspector, and most facilities use a third party for documentation and objectivity.
HOJ inspections are performed by CICB certified inspectors.
Beyond the scheduled frequent and periodic intervals, OSHA requires inspection before first use for new cranes, after alterations or repairs, and before returning to service after sitting idle.
If you cannot produce the last documented inspection for a crane, it is due now.
Cost depends on how many cranes you have, their capacity, and the inspection class required. HOJ quotes inspections over the phone in one call, with an emailed estimate.
Load testing and planned maintenance are separate services, but we can handle them in the same trip, saving you a second visit.
