How does automated trailer unloading work?

An automated trailer unloading system works one of two ways depending on how freight is loaded. For floor-loaded trailers, where cartons are stacked loose, a robotic arm on a mobile base uses cameras and sensors to detect each box, grip it from the top or side, and place it on a flexible conveyor that feeds the warehouse.
